About us
Latifiah Ulama Society UK (LUS) is an associated organisation of Anjumane Al Islah UK. The story of Anjumane Al Islah UK started in 1978 when a great spiritual master Allamah Abdul Latif Futali RA visited for first time in the UK. It was established to connect the British Muslim community to Islam in a coherent and relevant manner. His primary focus was to encourage people to embody the characteristics of the Prophet SAW and instil within them the utmost love and respect for him SAW. Starting at grass roots level he founded an Islamic Secondary school, Darul Hadis Latifiah, in the heart of East London which continues to serve hundreds of students within the UK. Latifiah Ulama society is a subsidiary of Anjumane Al Islah UK, with the aim to support, unite, train and educate Muslim scholars to serve the community.
Our Mission
The mission of the Ulama society is to develop Muslim scholars through cutting edge education and training based on sources which are consistent with the teachings of ahl al-sunnah wa al-jama’ah.
Our Strategy
– Supporting research in relevant topics to address the concerns of the community.
– Developing bespoke training which meet the education and trainings needs of Muslim scholars in the context of modern society.
– Supporting educational activities for the wider community through various channels and encouraging greater public engagement.
